NUPRC Addresses Gas Bubbling Incidents in Bille Community

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has reassured the Bille community in River State regarding recent gas bubbling incidents. Chief Executive Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan emphasized the commission's commitment to addressing the situation following notifications of the incidents.

The NUPRC is coordinating a technical investigation to establish regulatory protocols that will assess the nature and extent of the gas seepage and identify potential sources and causes. Immediate and long-term mitigation measures will be proposed based on findings from collaborative studies with stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and fact-based outcome.
