APC's NWC Disowns Suspension of Gbenga Daniel Amid Legal Dispute

The APC's National Working Committee (NWC) has disowned the suspension of Gbenga Daniel, the former governor of Ogun State, from the party. The NWC confirmed that Daniel remains a full member of the party and that no formal investigation or deliberation was conducted regarding the alleged anti-party activities.

The dispute arose from a letter dated November 17, where the state chapter of APC claimed to have suspended Daniel. However, a law firm led by Prof.

Yemi Ok gave the party a deadline to provide official documents supporting the suspension, which the party failed to meet. The NWC clarified that they had not taken any position on the suspension and commended the party for addressing the matter fairly.

Basiru Nuberu, an APC leader in Ogun East, condemned the suspension, calling it politically motivated. Daniel's official suspension letter was not relied upon, and the matter is still under legal scrutiny and appeals.
