Oba Olabomi Receives Honorary Membership from BTH

Oba Abdul Rashe Ayotund Olabomi, the pro-chancellor and chairman of the governing council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), was conferred honorary membership by the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in Sweden. This recognition, presented by Michael Mattsson, head of the software engineering department at BTH, acknowledges Olabomi's significant contributions to education, innovation, and societal development.

The award reflects his distinguished leadership and commitment to advancing higher education and promoting international cooperation. Olabomi's support for educational research and technological advancement has strengthened the leadership of FUNAAB, particularly in software engineering education.

The award was also presented by Henric Johnson, vice chancellor of BTH. In his acceptance speech, Olabomi expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a testament to the enduring value of knowledge and global partnerships.

He pledged to deepen collaboration and foster academic exchange to address societal challenges. The event included a delegation from Osun State, including vice chancellors from FUNAAB and Osun State University.
