Obasanjo Praises Ooni at Amosun's Yeye Moremi Installation

On Saturday, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo commended Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi for his efforts in sustaining the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba race during the installation of Olufunsho Amosun as Yeye Moremi Oodua at the Ile-Oduduwa Palace. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel, among others.

Obasanjo described the Yeye Moremi title as a revered honor in Yorubaland, symbolizing courage, sacrifice, and commitment to cultural preservation. Olufunsho Amosun expressed her gratitude for being chosen among distinguished women for this prestigious title and pledged to uphold the virtues of the legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro.

The Ooni emphasized the need for unity among Yoruba leaders, regardless of political affiliations, to foster progress and development in the Yoruba nation.
