Peter Obi Outlines Security and Education Plans in Sokoto

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed a town hall meeting in Sokoto, outlining his administration's core priorities for the 2027 general elections. Accompanied by his running mate, former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Obi stated that education, security, and national unity would be central to his campaign.

He emphasized the importance of listening to citizens' needs before formulating policies, asserting that investment in education is vital for Nigeria's development. Obi pledged to prioritize security, particularly in communities affected by violence and kidnapping, ensuring that citizens can conduct their daily activities without fear.

He also advocated for an end to divisive politics, promoting unity and economic integration through improved transportation infrastructure. Kwankwaso echoed concerns about rural insecurity and encouraged peaceful grassroots mobilization.
