Former Governor Obi has criticized Nigerian President Tinubu for spending only 8 days in Nigeria in 2026, highlighting the pressing domestic governance issues facing the country. Obi expressed concern over the worsening insecurity, food shortages, and ongoing worker strikes plaguing Nigeria.

He condemned the poor electricity supply and the impact of school closures and teacher strikes on children's education. Obi also questioned the necessity of Tinubu's frequent foreign trips, noting that the President spent 23 days abroad in January alone.
