Obi Urges Nigerian Youths to Vote for Better Nigeria in 2027

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former governor of Anambra State, called on Nigerian youths to actively participate in the upcoming 2027 general election, referring to it as “the match for a better Nigeria.” In a message coinciding with the resumption of the European football season, Obi drew parallels between the organization and success of European football and the governance needed to transform Nigeria. He argued that Nigeria has the talent but lacks the leadership that creates an enabling environment for success.

Obi stated that the infrastructure, security, and accountability seen in European football are results of deliberate leadership. He plans to spend the next 150 days engaging with Nigerian youths across various platforms, emphasizing that their votes are crucial for building a future akin to that of Europe.

He urged them to envision a competitive domestic football league and a Nigeria where hard work and innovation are rewarded.
