Former Anambra State Commissioner, C Don Adinuba, refuted social media reports claiming the death of former Governor Willi Obiano in London. Adinuba clarified that Obiano is alive and with his family in Houston, USA, urging the public to disregard the fake news.

Obiano's publicist, Toni Nezianya, confirmed receiving no information on the ex-governor's demise. Obiano, who served as Anambra Governor from 2014 to 2022, is currently under investigation by the EFCC for alleged misappropriation of N4 billion during his tenure.
