Olu Ogogo Reveals Taiwo Hassan's Cancer Battle Before Death

Olu Ogogo recounted the health challenges faced by veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, leading up to his death. Initially, Ogogo complained of chest pain during a trip to Ilaro and was treated at a hospital, where he was advised to rest.

He later sought treatment in India, but visa delays prevented his travel. By the time the visa was secured, Ogogo was too weak to fly.

A doctor from India was brought in, and he was moved to another hospital for specialist care. Although he initially showed signs of improvement, his condition worsened five days before his death.

It was during this time that the family learned he had stage-four cancer, a shocking diagnosis given the rapid decline in his health. Taiwo Hassan passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66.

His daughters had publicly disclosed his diagnosis shortly before his passing. Olu Ogogo described him as a kind-hearted man and expressed hope for his peaceful rest.
