Yayi Seeks Support from Obasanjo and Amosun for 2027 Bid

Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun in Abeokuta to garner support for his governorship candidacy in the 2027 elections. During the visit, Adeola sought moral backing for his bid against the incumbent governor, Dapo Abiodun.

He described the meeting with Obasanjo as fruitful, emphasizing the former president's guidance and support for Ogun State's development. Adeola expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that Obasanjo shared valuable advice for the future of the state.

Amosun, who accompanied Adeola, stressed the importance of unity within the APC and urged members to collaborate rather than create divisions. He expressed appreciation for the party members' support and indicated that further consultations with political leaders and stakeholders across Ogun State would continue as part of the preparations for the 2027 governorship elections.
