Ohanaeze Ndigbo Moves to Resolve Leadership Crisis

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly Worldwide has initiated efforts to resolve the ongoing leadership crisis and legal disputes affecting its Lagos State chapter. This announcement was made in a statement on Saturday by Chukwuma Njoku, the Media Aide to Tony Obizoba, the Director-General of Strategic Planning and Implementation.

Following a strategic meeting with elders and notable Igbo leaders in Lagos, the assembly aims to end the multiple legal cases concerning the organization's leadership. It plans to address the activities of individuals claiming to be President-General and other officials without proper legal authority.

Furthermore, the assembly intends to inaugurate a new President-General to provide legitimate leadership and unify the Ndigbo community. Concerns were raised about individuals declaring themselves Eze Ndigbo without adhering to traditional processes.

The assembly emphasized the need for due process in leadership positions and is conducting broader consultations to reposition Ndigbo on a sustainable path.
