Okpebholo Nominates New Edo Civil Service Commission Members

Okpebholo has nominated new members for the Edo Civil Service Commission, as per a statement issued by the Secretary of State Government on Tuesday. The nominee, Ikhilor, has disclosed the names forwarded to the Edo State House Assembly for consideration and confirmation.

This move is aimed at strengthening the civil service to enhance effective service delivery. The new commission will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, promotion, and discipline in the state civil service.

In a related development, the Katsina State Government confirmed that some teachers have abandoned their duty posts without reason. This decision was made during the unveiling of a joint education sector coordination committee organized by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in partnership with UNICEF.

The committee, chaired by the commissioner, will guide policy formulation, planning, and resource mobilization in the education sector.
