Edo Governor Sacks EdoGIS MD Over Land Revocation Dispute

Edo State Governor Mondai Okpebholo has removed Toni Ikpasaja as the Managing Director of Edo State Geographic Information Services (EdoGIS) for allegedly revoking 13,545 hectares of land belonging to Presco Plc without authorization. The revocation notice, which went viral on social media, was deemed to be against public interest.

The State Government disclaimed the revocation, emphasizing that Presco Plc's statutory rights were not revoked. The action was taken to optimize efficiency and enhance institutional performance at EdoGIS.
