Oyo Rep Hon. Olajide Resigns from PDP on May 5, 2026

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanlei Olajide, representing the Ibadan North West and Ibadan South West Federal Constituency in the Oyo State House of Representatives, formally resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) on May 5, 2026.

His resignation was communicated in a letter addressed to the chairman of PDP Ward 11 in the Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State. Olajide stated that his decision followed extensive consultations within his political association and was necessary due to prevailing realities within the party structure.

He expressed a desire to continue pursuing his political aspirations and a commitment to public service. Despite the difficulty of his decision, he emphasized that it was taken in good faith, without bitterness, and he holds the party members in high esteem, valuing the relationships built over the years.

Olajide also expressed gratitude for the leadership and support he received from party members at various levels.
