Clichy: Olise Set to Shine at 2026 World Cup for France

Gaël Clichy, a former French defender, expressed his belief that Michael Olise can emerge as France's breakout star at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Clichy highlighted Olise's talent and qualities, comparing him to Kylian Mbappé's breakthrough performance at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Olise, who currently plays for Bayern Munich, has already made 16 appearances for the French senior national team, preparing for his first major international tournament. Clichy, who has worked closely with Olise as an assistant coach for France's U23 team during the 2024 Paris Olympics, noted that Olise played a significant role in the team's silver medal achievement.
