Ondo Kingdom Celebrates Oba Kiladejo's 20-Year Reign

The Ondo Kingdom in Ondo State is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the coronation of its paramount ruler, Oba Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo. The celebrations, organized by the Ondo Development Committee, will include a range of activities such as a medical intervention called the 'Festival of Surgeries', cultural performances, an inter-school debate competition, a public lecture, an art exhibition, a golf tournament, and the commissioning of legacy development projects.

These activities are scheduled to take place until December 24, 2026, culminating in the annual Ekimogun Day Festival on December 26. The anniversary theme is '20 Years of Unprecedented Peace and Development in Ondo Kingdom'.

A significant highlight will be the conferment of traditional chieftaincy titles on media personality Sway Calloway and music industry executive Leila Steinberg, recognizing their contributions. Professor Femi Mimiko, the High Chief Lisa-elect of Ondo Kingdom and former Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, is the chairman of the organizing committee.
