ONGA Celebrates Culture at AMVCA with Culinary Showdown

ONGA played a significant role in the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA), turning the event into a celebration of food and culture. The weekend featured a cultural night and a cooking competition where finalists Ebi Prey Misongo, Peter Olaniyi, and Rukaiyah Ahmad Idri showcased their culinary skills.

Peter Olaniyi emerged as the winner, creatively reinventing the traditional dish akara with an unexpected twist, earning a grand prize of 1 million Naira and a year’s supply of ONGA products. The runners-up received 300,000 Naira and 200,000 Naira, respectively, along with culinary gifts.

The AMVCA also celebrated major award categories, with Linda Ihuoma Ejiofor winning Best Lead Actress and Lateef Adedimeji winning Best Indigenous Movie in West Africa. The event highlighted ONGA's commitment to celebrating African culture and storytelling through creative culinary expressions.
