Onyeka Rejects Club Brugge Deal; Ozoh Awaits Nigeria Clearance

Frank Onyedika, a 23-year-old midfielder, has turned down a new contract offer from Club Brugge, indicating his desire to leave the Belgian champions. Reports from the Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad suggest that Club Brugge had been pushing for a contract renewal over the past month, but Onyedika, who joined from FC Midtjylland in 2022, is heavily linked with a move to Galatasaray and VfL Wolfsburg.

Additionally, Premier League side Aston Villa is monitoring his situation as the summer transfer window approaches. Meanwhile, 20-year-old David Ozoh is waiting for clearance from the English Football Association to switch his allegiance to Nigeria, having previously represented England at the U18 level.

Ozoh, who has five caps for England, is expected to be considered for Nigeria's squad for the upcoming United Cup and friendly matches against Poland and Portugal in June. He is seen as a potential cover for Alex Iwobi, who is currently dealing with a hamstring injury.
