OPSN Raises Alarm Over National Assembly's Summons of Private Companies

OPSN, comprising various industry associations, highlighted the persistent invitations as a challenge to private sector operations.

The group emphasized that the National Assembly's oversight powers over private companies could hinder business activities and legal proceedings. OPSN's open letter to President Bola Tinubu cited judicial precedents and constitutional provisions to address the issue.

The sectoral employer associations urged for a review of the National Assembly's oversight practices to ensure a conducive environment for private enterprises in Nigeria.
