Osimhen Shines with Two Assists in Galatasaray's 5-1 Win

In a dominant performance, Victor Osimhen contributed two assists as Galatasaray triumphed over Eyüpspor with a score of 5-1 on Friday night. The match, held at Ram Park, saw Galatasaray tighten their grip on the Turkish Super Lig summit, moving to 55 points, six ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe.

Osimhen's impact was immediate, providing a curling cross that led to Yunus Akgün's header just two minutes into the game. Mauro Icardi doubled the advantage in the 33rd minute, reacting quickly to a loose ball inside the area.

Eyüpspor's hopes faded further when Bedirhan Zyurt received a red card five minutes later. In the second half, Osimhen's tenacity helped set up Icardi for his second goal, completing a hat trick in the 70th minute.

Although Metehan Altunba scored for Eyüpspor, an own goal by J. Rome Ongun in stoppage time sealed the comprehensive 5-1 victory for Galatasaray.

This result extended Galatasaray's unbeaten league run to ten matches. Reports indicate that Osimhen's form has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid, with Barcelona also monitoring him as a potential long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski.

Osimhen signed a four-year deal last summer and has scored 15 goals in 21 appearances this season. Galatasaray is set to host Juventus in the first leg of the Champions League playoff on Tuesday.
