Osimhen Doubtful for Fenerbahçe Derby Due to Injury

Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles forward, is doubtful for the upcoming Fenerbahçe derby against Galatasaray scheduled for next Sunday. He has been sidelined for a month due to an arm injury but returned to team training last week as the club aims for the title run.

Despite this, head coach Okan Buruk has opted to exclude him from the matchday squad for the crucial fixture against Gençlerbirliği at Eryaman Stadium. Buruk explained that Osimhen participated in portions of training but struggled with fatigue and was not deemed ready for competitive action.

The coaching staff is taking a cautious approach to avoid further complications. Turkish journalist Kutlu Akpınar reported that Osimhen is working towards full fitness, but his availability for the derby is uncertain, with expectations that his situation will become clearer by Friday.
