Osimhen Urges Galatasaray to Sign Arokodare for 2026-27

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker currently playing for Napoli, has reportedly recommended that Galatasaray sign fellow Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare as a backup striker ahead of the 2026-27 season. This recommendation comes as Galatasaray anticipates the imminent departure of Argentine forward Mauro Icardi.

Turkish journalist Burak Eren reported that Osimhen and Arokodare share a close relationship, with Osimhen citing Arokodare's previous performance and potential impact within the Super Eagles squad. Arokodare, 24, had a challenging debut season at Wolverhampton Wanderers, managing six goals and two assists in 38 appearances after a £26 million move from Belgian side Genk last year.

Wolverhampton's relegation from the Premier League has prompted the club to consider selling players, including Arokodare, who has attracted interest from other clubs like Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor. While no formal price tag has been placed on Arokodare, it is understood that Galatasaray may prefer to explore a loan arrangement before committing to a permanent deal.
