Osun Farmers Endorse Adeleke for Re-Election Ahead of Polls

As political activities ramp up for the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, farmers and butchers have publicly endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term. This endorsement was announced during an event at the Osun Government House in Osogbo, where farmers expressed gratitude for Adeleke's pro-farmers policies, including the acquisition of new tractors and the distribution of agricultural inputs.

Moshood Adepoju, speaking for the Osun State All Farmers of Nigeria, emphasized that farmers had not experienced such support in years, contrasting it with their treatment under the All Progressives Congress (APC). Amoo Afeez, the Osun State Chairman of the Butchers Association, also voiced support for Adeleke, citing his achievements across various sectors.

Commissioner for Agriculture Tola Faseru noted that the endorsement was a collective appreciation from agricultural associations. In response, Governor Adeleke promised to enhance agricultural support if re-elected.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service has pledged 100,000 votes for APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji.
