MURIC Urges Osun Governor Adeleke to Vacate Office

Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has issued a statement urging Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to begin packing his belongings from the Government House, warning that he has been rejected by the people of Osun. The statement, signed by Executive Director Professor Isiaq Akintola, criticized Adeleke for deceiving the populace and highlighted the rapid damage of a flyover in Osogbo just three weeks after its commissioning.

Akintola accused the governor of transforming his administration into one that primarily serves the interests of Ede, his hometown, and condemned his management of local government affairs. As the gubernatorial election approaches on 15th August 2026, MURIC asserted that Adeleke's actions, including alleged examination malpractice and poor governance, would lead to his defeat in the upcoming election, stating that he has "crossed the Rubicon" and will face consequences for undermining the intelligence of Osun Muslims.
