Benjamin Kalu Urges Tinubu to Stop Igbo Property Demolition in Lagos

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, expressed distress over the demolition of Igbo-owned properties in Lagos, urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene. Kalu made these remarks during a project commissioning in Aba, Abia State, where he also commended Tinubu for supporting state reforms.

He pleaded with Tinubu to halt the demolitions by the Lagos state government, stating that they were causing anguish among the Igbo community. Kalu further appealed for the establishment of a seaport to boost economic activities in the region.

The call for intervention comes amidst concerns over the destruction of properties belonging to the Igbo ethnic group in Lagos.
