Our Interest In The APC Is To Retain Power – Aiyedatiwa Carpets Anti-Tinubu Coalition

During a formal reception in Akure, Hon Dayo Awude, a former Labour Party deputy governorship candidate and member of the Sunshine Grassroots Network (SGN), joined the Progressives Congress (APC). Aiyedatiwa, speaking at the event, emphasized that their interest in the APC is to retain power, dismissing the anti-Tinubu coalition's efforts.

He praised Awude's defection as a strategic political move ahead of the 2027 polls and urged immediate grassroots mobilization to strengthen the party in Ondo State. Aiyedatiwa assured the new entrants that their contributions would be valued and rewarded, highlighting the visible dividends of good governance under President Tinubu's leadership at the federal level.

He emphasized the importance of holding the state and national levels under the APC banner.
