Over 500 Students Sit for Delta Technical Colleges Exam

More than 500 prospective students participated in the entrance examination for technical colleges across Delta State on Saturday. The examination, held at the Model Technical College in Asaba, was part of the admission process for students seeking technical education.

Dr Anthony Okwunze, the Permanent Secretary of the Delta State Ministry of Technical Education, monitored the examination and noted its purpose was to assess candidates' aptitude and interest. The examination began with English Language as the first paper.

Okwunze highlighted a growing interest in practical education, citing a parent who traveled from Warri for her child's skills acquisition. He emphasized the importance of students acquiring practical skills before completing secondary education to enhance their economic productivity.

Okwunze commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for supporting technical education and mentioned the possibility of a supplementary examination for those unable to attend. The examination environment was described as calm and organized, with teachers supervising candidates.

One candidate, Bright Chukwuka, expressed confidence in his performance.
