OYSIEC Begins Recruitment for Ad Hoc Staff for Elections

The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has initiated the recruitment process for ad hoc staff to assist in the upcoming Local Government Council Elections scheduled for December 29, 2026. The announcement was made by Dr Afees Adeniyi, the Chairman of OYSIEC, in a statement released on October 5, 2026.

The registration period for interested candidates is from October 5 to October 20, 2026. Eligible individuals are invited to apply through the commission's electronic recruitment portal.

The positions available include Presiding Officers (PO), Assistant Presiding Officers (APO), Supervisors (SU), Ward Collation Officers (WCO), Local Government Returning Officers (LGRO), and Local Government Assistant Returning Officers (LGARO). To qualify, candidates must provide a functional phone number, an android-enabled phone, a functional email address, a commercial bank account, and relevant educational qualifications.

Specific educational requirements include a minimum of OND/NCE for PO/APO, BA/B.Sc./HND for SU/WCO, and chief lecturer or equivalent for LGRO/LGAROs.
