Nigerian Music Industry Mourns Tragic Loss of Young Stars Destiny Boy, Mohbad, and Others

The Nigerian entertainment industry has been struck by the untimely deaths of young talents like Destiny Boy and Mohbad. Destiny Boy, real name Afeez Adeshina, a popular Afro-fuji singer, passed away at 22 after battling a long-term illness.

Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, a former Marlian Records signee, died at 27 following a car crash. Other notable losses include Oladapo Olaonipekun, known as Dagrin, who died in 2010 after a car accident, and Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, popularly known as Goldie, who passed away in 2013 at the age of 30.

Patrick Fakoya, a former Big Brother Naija star, also lost his life in a car crash in 2022. Dablixx Osha, a Nigerian trap rapper, succumbed to stomach issues in 2022.
