Tuchel Critiques Palmer for Missing England Squad Opportunity

Thomas Tuchel, the current coach of Chelsea, expressed disappointment over Cole Palmer's withdrawal from England's squad for their upcoming match against Spain. Tuchel stated that Palmer "misses too many opportunities" to impress, referencing his absence from the England squad during the World Cup, where England reached the semi-finals.

Tuchel noted that Palmer's repeated injuries have hindered his participation in training camps, which are crucial for demonstrating his abilities. He remarked, “It’s another missed opportunity,” emphasizing the importance of being present to earn a spot on the national team.

Tuchel also faced criticism for England's failure to secure a place in the World Cup final after a late collapse against Argentina. He acknowledged the challenge of creating scoring opportunities against a strong Spanish team that conceded only once during the World Cup.
