PANDEF Mourns Former Delta Deputy Governor Benjamin Elue

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has expressed profound grief over the death of former Delta State Deputy Governor Benjamin Elue, who passed away at the age of 85. In a condolence message addressed to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday, PANDEF's national chairman, Godknows Igali, described Elue as a distinguished statesman whose life exemplified integrity, humility, and unwavering dedication to public service.

Elue served as Deputy Governor during the administration of James Ibori, playing a pivotal role in fostering political stability and advancing socio-economic development in Delta State and the wider Niger Delta region. Igali emphasized Elue's steadfast commitment to growth and unity in Delta State, noting that his contributions to governance and community development left an indelible mark, particularly across the South-South geopolitical zone.
