PDP Clears Kefa Ropshik for Plateau Governorship Primaries

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared Kefa Ropshik to participate in the Plateau State governorship primaries, which are part of the preparations for the 2027 general elections. The screening exercise took place at the PDP national secretariat in Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

Ropshik aims to challenge the incumbent Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who is expected to seek a second term in office. Ropshik described the screening as a significant milestone in his governorship ambitions and reaffirmed his commitment to a people-driven agenda for Plateau State.

He expressed confidence in his vision for the state and emphasized the importance of remaining focused on inclusive governance. Following his clearance, Ropshik is set to formally contest in the PDP governorship primaries, where delegates will determine the party's flagbearer for the upcoming elections.

He submitted his nomination to the PDP national headquarters in Abuja and arrived at the secretariat in a white kaftan, accompanied by a large crowd of supporters, signaling growing momentum for his campaign.
