PDP's Umar Damagum Hands Over Leadership to Turaki-Led NWC Amid Factional Struggles

Umar Damagum, the former acting national chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has officially handed over leadership to Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) after his tenure expired. This transition comes after a leadership struggle within the party, led by factions including Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike.

The handover took place at Bauchi State Governor's Lodge in Abuja. Damagum expressed confidence in Turaki's ability to unite the party and overcome challenges.

Turaki, in turn, commended the outgoing NWC's efforts and promised to continue the party's progress.
