PDP Denies APC Collaboration and Candidate Withdrawal Claims, Eyes Strong 2023 Candidate

PDP dismisses claims of collaboration with APC and nonsensical candidate withdrawals, as stated by Pearse, Convener of Reset Lagos. In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Pearse labeled such allegations as propaganda from President Bola Tinubu's camp to weaken the opposition.

Pearse emphasized the party's commitment to fielding a strong candidate in 2023, particularly from the South. He highlighted the jittery response from Tinubu's camp, especially regarding the potential emergence of a Yoruba candidate like Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.

Pearse suggested that Makinde stands a good chance of challenging Tinubu's support base if given the PDP ticket.
