PDP Aims for 2027 Comeback, Launches Membership Drive

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) is targeting a nationwide comeback in the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not a viable option. The PDP insists it remains united despite recent internal disagreements and has launched an online membership registration drive in Abia State to rebuild its structure and enhance grassroots mobilization.

During a speaking event, PDP Deputy National Secretary Ihediwa accused the APC of attempting to destabilize the opposition party out of fear of losing power in 2027. He expressed confidence in the PDP's ability to unseat the APC at the national level.

The party is currently involved in ongoing litigation regarding leadership disputes, with a resolution expected to favor the current leadership. Former Senate President Adolphus Wabara highlighted the importance of fair and transparent party affairs and urged members to support the rebuilding efforts.

The PDP aims to regain political strength in Abia State and across Nigeria by addressing internal challenges and enhancing member participation.
