PDP Appoints Jegede to Lead Convention Committee Amidst Litigation

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) remains undeterred by legal challenges as it appoints Eyitayo Jegede to head a 13-member committee for its national convention in Ibadan. The appointment comes amidst a lawsuit seeking to halt the convention.

The opposition within the party, particularly from Kebbi State, rejects the reported consensus candidate, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki. The Federal High Court in Abuja is set to deliver a judgment on the lawsuit seeking to stop the convention.

Despite the legal hurdles, the PDP moves forward with its convention preparations.
