Bauchi Gov Bala Mohammed Links PDP's 2023 Loss to Zoning Failure

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed attributes the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) loss in the 2023 presidential election to the failure to zone the ticket to the southern part of Nigeria. Mohammed, also the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, admitted the party's mistake during an interview on Channels Television.

The PDP's National Executive Committee had zoned the presidential ticket to the south for the 2023 election, but the loss was a learning experience according to Mohammed. The party is now preparing for the 2027 election with a renewed strategy.

The zoning issue remains a critical factor in the party's future electoral success.
