PEBEC DG Compares Tinubu to Mandela and Rawlings

Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, the Director-General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) and National Publicity Secretary of the City Boy Movement, has called for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be evaluated alongside historical figures like Nelson Mandela and Jerry John Rawlings. In her published article, Audu argued that political figures should be assessed over their entire careers rather than through isolated controversies.

She referenced Mandela's transformation from political prisoner to president and Rawlings' complex political journey in Ghana. Audu acknowledged the ongoing scrutiny regarding Tinubu's educational background, citing the 2023 court proceedings involving Chicago State University, which confirmed his graduation in 1979.

She discussed Tinubu's political career, including his time in the Senate and his role in forming the All Progressives Congress. Audu noted significant economic decisions made under Tinubu's administration, such as the removal of the petrol subsidy, while recognizing the resulting inflation and food insecurity.

She urged a balanced view of Tinubu's presidency, stating that history should reflect an accumulation of facts.
