NBA Urges Nigerian Govt to Prosecute Terrorism Financiers Promptly

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Afam Osigwe, called on the government to swiftly prosecute individuals involved in financing terrorism. Osigwe emphasized the need for credible evidence linking suspects to terrorist activities before trial.

He expressed concerns over repeated mentions of certain individuals in relation to terrorism financing without legal action, questioning the lack of prosecution despite their names appearing frequently. The NBA stressed the importance of ensuring that those accused have the opportunity to defend themselves in court.
