Pete Edochie Honors Olu Jacobs in Emotional Tribute

Pete Edochie, a legendary Nollywood actor, paid a heartfelt tribute to his late colleague Olu Jacobs, who passed away on September 16 at the age of 84. In an emotional video, Edochie described Jacobs as a peaceful and humorous personality, commiserating with Jacobs' wife, Joke Silva, for the challenges she faced during his six-year illness.

Edochie acknowledged the pain of Jacobs' death but emphasized the importance of celebrating his life, noting that Jacobs lived beyond the typical lifespan outlined in the Good Book. He expressed hope that one of Jacobs' children would pursue acting to preserve his legacy.

Edochie recalled Jacobs' words to Silva, encouraging her to remember that her problems were behind her. He concluded the tribute with a reflection on the possibility of reuniting with Jacobs after death.

Jacobs was recognized for his significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry and received several awards, including the national honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
