Peter Obi Votes in Anambra Election Amidst Concerns of Monetization

Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, participated in the Anambra governorship election by casting his vote at Polling Unit 019, Umudim Akasi, Agulu. The election featured 16 candidates from different parties seeking to unseat the incumbent governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo of APGA.

Georg Moghalu, the LP governorship candidate, raised alarm over widespread monetization during the election, noting reports of vote buying across several polling areas despite heavy security presence. The election process drew attention from Agulu residents and highlighted concerns about electoral malpractices.
