Peter Obi Donates ₦10m to Rehabilitate St. Anthony's Hospital in Enugu State

Former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi, contributed ₦10 million to St. Anthony's Hospital in Mgbowo, Enugu State, during a visit to support the hospital's rehabilitation efforts.

The hospital, previously operated by the Catholic Diocese of Awgu and the former Enugu Diocese, once served as a major healthcare center but has deteriorated significantly, requiring urgent intervention. Obi pledged continued monthly contributions towards the hospital's restoration, highlighting the critical role of mission organizations in delivering essential social services to underserved communities.

He emphasized the need to protect human dignity and support infrastructure within these communities, stressing the shared responsibility of both the government and mission organizations in fulfilling basic societal obligations.
