Peter Obi Donates ₦10 Million to St. Raphael Hospital

On a Sunday, Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, visited St. Raphael Hospital in Umueri to commemorate his 65th birthday. During this visit, he donated ₦10 million to support the hospital, which is managed by Rt.

Rev. Johnson Nwaohalanma of the Anglican Communion. Obi stated that funding for health and education is critical for the development of any nation, emphasizing that countries that prioritize these sectors tend to progress better.

He expressed his commitment to supporting health and education initiatives, noting that he has embarked on a week-long donation campaign to various health and educational institutions across the country. Additionally, Obi held a thanksgiving mass at Madonna Assumpta Catholic Church in Agulu, Anambra State, to appreciate God for his life and later donated ₦2 million to a sickle cell home in Agulu, reaffirming his dedication to the welfare of vulnerable populations.
