Peter Okoye Admits Co-signing Northside Account in Court

In a Lagos State High Court session presided over by Justice Rahman Oshodi, Peter Okoye, known as Mr. P, admitted to co-signing the Northside Entertainment Limited bank account, which contradicted his earlier testimony that his brother Jude Okoye was the sole signatory.

This admission occurred during the ongoing trial where Jude faces charges of alleged theft amounting to 1 million naira brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. During cross-examination by defense counsel Clement Onwuewunor, Peter acknowledged that both he and his twin brother Paul were signatories to the account, despite previously claiming Jude had sole control.

Peter explained that Jude initially operated the account alone, but later, both he and Paul became signatories. He also clarified that the Psquare music catalog belonged exclusively to him and Paul, excluding Jude, who joined as a manager in 2004-2005 without a formal contract.

The case has been adjourned until May 15, 2026, for further proceedings.
