Petrol Prices Drop Nationwide Following Refinery Adjustments

Petrol prices have fallen across filling stations in Nigeria, particularly in Ogun State, where prices have dropped below ₦1,300 per liter. This reduction follows a price cut announced by Dangote Petroleum Refinery on Sunday, which adjusted its ex-depot price to ₦1,250 per liter.

The price for diesel has also been reduced to ₦1,700 per liter from ₦1,800 per liter. This price review reflects a recent decline in global oil prices and reinforces the company's commitment to making refined products affordable for Nigerian consumers.

Observations across various filling stations, including those operated by independent marketers, show immediate adjustments in pump prices. For instance, Nipco and Heyden have adjusted their prices to ₦1,290 per liter and ₦1,297 per liter, respectively.

Despite the downward adjustments, some retail outlets continue to sell petrol above ₦1,300 per liter, with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) in Ibafo adjusting its price to ₦1,305 per liter.
