APC's Tinubu Receives Strong North-West Support in Kaduna
On Saturday, thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened at Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna State for the party's presidential campaign flag-off ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dignitaries, including ministers and state governors, were present as they awaited the arrival of President Bola Tinubu.
The event is significant as it marks the first time a sitting president has hosted a presidential campaign at a stadium. Musa Kwankwaso, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, expressed confidence that the North-West would support Tinubu, asserting that the gathering demonstrated Northern backing for the president.
He emphasized the importance of consolidating support for Tinubu to ensure national progress and equitable development across Nigeria's geopolitical zones. Kwankwaso dismissed claims that the North's support was merely transactional, urging political stakeholders to view this support as a commitment to national unity as the 2027 elections approach.
