Bukola Saraki Attends UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest

Bukola Saraki, the former President of the Nigerian Senate from 2015 to 2019 and previous Governor of Kwara State from 2003 to 2011, attended the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. The match featured Arsenal competing against Paris Saint-Germain in front of a crowd of 67,000.

Saraki, a dedicated Arsenal supporter, has shown loyalty to the club, having previously attended their quarter-final match against Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal secured a 5-1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The 2026 final marked the first time Hungary hosted this prestigious event, which is the 71st season of Europe's elite club competition, now known as the UEFA Champions League. Saraki is also the founder of Bukola Saraki Football Club, a professional team based in Ilorin, Kwara State, which competes in the Nigeria National League.
