Nigerians Mobilize Against Alleged Plan to Sell Oil Assets Under PIA

The National Rebirth Movement (NRM) has vowed to mobilize Nigerians in protest against the federal government's alleged plan to sell critical national oil assets by amending the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). NRM President Comrade James Jonah Gbudu accused Minister of Finance Wale Edun of spearheading the move, claiming it would strip the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) of its backbone.

The proposed amendment, if implemented, could lead to the sale of essential oil assets to political cronies, jeopardizing transparency and accountability in the sector. Nigerians are urged to remain vigilant and prevent the potential auctioning of national oil assets.
