Plateau Loyalists Disown Gen. Sura After Defection from PDP to APC

Gen. John Sura's loyalists publicly disowned him after his defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State.

The loyalists, including Nathaniel Dauda Kyak, expressed shock and betrayal over Sura's decision, highlighting a lack of consultation and brotherhood. Sura, a former governorship aspirant, lost in the PDP primary elections in 2022.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang extended an olive branch to Sura for reconciliation, offering him a strategic role in the state committee. However, Sura's actions have led to a rift within the Liber Movement and local politics in Plateau State.
