Plot To Unseat Tinubu: Makinde, Others to Fight for PDP 2027 Presidential Ticket

Governor Seyi Makinde and Peter Obi are set to contest for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2027 presidential ticket, which has been zoned to the south. Governor Makinde's Special Adviser, Dare Adeleke, expressed confidence in his principal's ability to clinch the PDP ticket, citing his contributions to the party.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi is said to be considering a return to the PDP and will make a decision after studying the dynamics of the upcoming November 8 governorship election. Former presidential candidate Gbenga Daniel has criticized the zoning of the 2027 presidency to the south, claiming it paves the way for President Tinubu.

Additionally, former president Goodluck Jonathan is reportedly considering contesting the 2027 presidential election, with the PDP national financial secretary stating that the party may grant him an automatic ticket if he meets certain conditions.
